Back

The writing says as follows:

DON'T FEAR THE REAPER . . . REAPER'S SABBATH (both sides)

(song list)
i. devil's debt
ii. dance at midnight
iii. deadly kiss
iv. bloodlust
v. cracked lungs
vi. satan's spawn
vii. sabbath day
viii. tacks and nails
ix. broken sorrows
x. shattered bones

I did this for my CD cover assignment.  My genre was heavy metal and possible cover art photos were cemetery, upside down crosses, tattoos or skulls.  I chose to take photos of the cemetery in town because it gives off a sort of deadly sort of feel and that's usually what heavy metal covers give off.  Also, I liked how much side space I could get in with the way things are placed and the colors go together.  I honestly busted my butt trying to do this assignment and put in the most effort I've ever put into a photography assignment.

GridPix

GridPix

I hated this assignment; it was tedious and after looking at a computer screen for so long, my corneas feel like they're burning out of my skull.  I will never do this again in my life.

Land of the Giants

Land of the Giants

I used photoshop to cut out a picture of me and pasted it into the background (a dresser close up) and then I painted a casted shadow in the back to anchor me onto the dresser.  It was annoying and redundant.

Decay

Decay Photography

This onion represents decay because it is old, rotting and cut up.  After it's thrown into the yard for the rabbits we have, whatever isn't eaten is going to waste away and go back to the earth.

This color doesn't represent decay in the way people usually think it does.  It represents the decay of life passing and an animal growing older.  My dog wore this color for years and she finally got a new one; this, to me, represents the decay of her puppyhood, of her passing life, of growing older and making memories.  This isn't the decay of an object; this is the decay of life.

This object represents decay because it's old, used.  Over time, many different things have influenced the book's condition, from being packed away in boxes in the basement to being held in people's oily hands to puppy teeth and play.  This photo and it's contents represents, to me, the decay of time, rather than the decay of an object.

Best Of Quarter Two

Best Of Quarter Two

This photo is one of my favorite because the background is blurred, faded and the light in the front adds an luminous effect.

This picture isn't one of my absolute favorites but I like how it turned out.  There's a lot going on in the picture but the light blends with the back wall and my photo collage.

This is probably one of my most favorite pictures because the frost doesn't usually collect on windows like that with snow and also, the clear part of the photo blends with the background and frames the trees.

I like this picture because it reminds me of a horror movie called The Messengers and it gives off a "chilly" feelings (aka: a chill was sent up my spine).

This is a good picture (in my opinion) because it combines different objects to make one scene and the faded color is something that I don't see very often, so it's sort of unique in that sense.

Typical Day

Typical Day

My typical day consists of the follow (not in any particular order):

Read

Sleep / wake up / relax

Get dressed / change

Do homework / go to school

Watch movies

Eat

Shower, brush my teeth, brush my hair, etc.

Holiday Photography

The Holidays

These are the christmas lights hanging up in my bedroom.  I never take them down but I usually add to them around new years, except this year I can't.  I think pictures of lights look better with a blur effect so I edited it and made the photo a little brighter to show the lights better and their shape.  If I would take this photo again, I would do it with a better camera and at a different angle.

This is a dog I got for valentine's day last year and it always reminds me of different holidays.  I was given it to me by a close friend who thinks it's only right to have a stuff animal or two in your bedroom, so here it is.  The Valentine's Day Holiday dog.

This used to be what my grandmother called her "Holiday Sweater".  She had two of them; she would wear them on Christmas and New Year's when she stayed over and every year, that's what she wore.  I have a lot of memories attached to this sweater and I think it's a proper way to represent what the holidays mean to me.

Ice Photography

Ice Theme

Each one of these photos were taken on different days for the theme ice.  As time went by, I noticed more and more ice piling up on the window and I didn't think it would get this thick (bottom picture), but it did.  I think these are three of my favorite photos I've ever taken.  If I were to retake these photos, I would try and get a different angle to see what parts of the picture turn out sharper, which parts have more of a shadow, which parts reflect more of the background, etc.
